After 15 years of hard preparing and anticipation of the retail tendencies, B’Est now constitutes today one of the finest retail successes in France.
B’est is a shopping and leisure centre totalling 55,000 m² of built-up area, including a 13,000 m² retail park, in Farébersviller. The objective of CODIC was to meet the retail needs by a relevant and qualitative offer – as the only shopping centre in a radius of 35 km – while developing a leisure dimension and a strong local anchorage.
The project benefits from an exemplary treatment regarding the management of energy consumption (BREEAM certification) and supports green innovations: creation of orchards, production of honey on site, installation de 22,000 m² of green roofs and 4,300 m² of solar panels (most important photovoltaic energy production of the region).
Symbol of CODIC‘s tenacity and its exemplary local involvement, B’Est has been able to go beyond the pure commercial proposition to acquire a genuine environmental and non-profit dimension to gain its place in the landscape of Eastern France.
